Natural divas in hot demand, says Jessie J
Just being at the awards was a thrill, she says, after walking the red carpet in a shimmering floor-length Julien Macdonald dress that scored her mentions on both best and worst-dressed lists.
"I was named disco ball of the night which I don't think is a bad title," she laughs.
While Jessie J is known for her ever-changing coloured bob hairstyle, her crazy outfits, and for saying what she thinks, she'd most like to be regarded for her voice, like Adele.
When she tours here next month with the Future Music Festival, she promises a pared-back show so she can prove her singing talent.
That means no dancers, gimmicks or mammoth stadium staging.
"People expect you to have acrobats and fireworks and I'm like, no, just a great performance is what you want to have when you buy a ticket to see someone live," she says.
