Researchers admit it is difficult to measure what is normal and what is not when it comes to the human sex drive.

Hypoactive sexual desire disorder is the medical term referring to a person experiencing persistent or recurrent lack of interest in sex, resulting in personal distress or a distressed relationship.

For women, more than 40 percent complain of low sexual desire at some point, advised the Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research. If you count only women with ongoing problems, the percentage is smaller, closer to 5 to 15 percent.

My husband, like most men, is going bald. He is the unlucky recipient of the androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness) gene. And to add insult to injury, what hair he does have is starting to turn grey.

Colby is a good-natured guy and the loss of his hair doesn’t seem to bother him too much. When we first started dating 10 years ago, he was beginning to thin over his forehead, but the rest was a thick mass of chocolate brown hair. He jokingly used to say he had a peninsula on his forehead.

His lack of hair has never bothered me. It is more rare to see a man with a full head of hair than one that is balding. Twenty-five percent of men will begin balding by age 25 and almost 74% will be affected with baldness by their 80s. That is a lot of bald heads running around.
