Richardson resigns from her House seat
After giving just less than a year's worth of service in the state Legislature, Rep. Holly Richardson, R-Pleasant Grove, is stepping down from her post.
Richardson stepped down from her post today to take a senior staff position with the Dan Liljenquist for Senate campaign. Richardson was appointed to her legislative position after Utah County Republican delegates elected her to fill Craig Frank's seat last January. Frank was forced to resign from his seat after it was discovered that he had accidentally moved outside of his district.
"Today I tender my resignation as a member of the Utah House of Representatives effective immediately. It has been an absolute delight to serve the people of Pleasant Grove and Cedar Hills in the Utah Legislature and an experience I will always treasure," Richardson wrote in her resignation letter.
