Annville teens collect Hats For Hope
Recently started a foundation so that other kids suffering from hair loss can at least have something to cover their heads. Known as Hats For Hope, the foundation collects new or slightly worn hats and will donated them to children at Hershey Medical Center."Our goal is basically to get as many hats to Penn State Hershey Medical Center to kids with alopecia and cancer as possible," Boltz said.
Anyone who donates a hat can also fill out a notecard with well wishes for whomever receives the hat.
The pair has placed several collection boxes around their school and have appeared on their school's student-run news program and a local radio station to publicize their efforts.
Their initial goal is 50 hats.
"We're trying to go as big as we can," Maulfair said.
