Audrey Hepburn army at Thakoon'The collection is a romantic cliché of something old New York – Upper East Side in the 1980s..but with a quirky twist,' designer Thakoon Panichgul revealed backstage. So with an homage to Audrey, the Thakoon gang took inspiration from the glamorous movie star with a 'tiny bang' teamed with a chignon. It was created by Odile Gilbert using a LOT of Kerastase hairspray. The look was polished off with another bright pout with and clean skin for a 'minimal but polished' face, created by Diane Kendal. 'Thakoon wanted to focus on the lip this season,' the NARS makeup told us. 'It’s a fuschia pink, which is not an obvious colour for a bold lip. We wanted to play with colour, and it ends up making the whole look so interesting.' Yep, the look was certainly Oscar red carpet worthy. And along with the unexpected sighting of Martha Stewart having tea at the Thakoon Plaza hotel location with her dog Chow Chow, the whole experience was nothing short of glitzy.
