Over a half a century ago, Frank Rinaldi a young aspiring Italian barber came to the United States to live the American dream.
While he was on leave as an Italian sailor Frank met the love of his life Rose, at a convent in Newark while she was visiting with friends. From that moment on he knew he would be returning to America to marry Rose and unbeknownst to him live the American Dream.
When he first opened his business, he started in Orange. After a few years, he expanded his business and moved to Cranford. When the Beatles introduced their shaggy hair styles to America, Frank decided to expand upon his business. It grew from being a barber shop to a Unisex Salon, styling both men’s and women’s hair to attract more customers. He remained in Cranford for 37 years.
