'Grimm' recap: 'Let Your Hair Down,' and finding the right tone
Friday night's episode of "Grimm," "Let Your Hair Down," was probably the most conventional outing yet -- if you can describe a show featuring a wolf-girl who survives living alone in the woods by whipping her killer braid of hair around, as conventional.The plot, involving a long-missing girl who's discovered and returned to safety after bonding with Monroe, one of her rescuers, at times bordered on the sentimental -- which isn't a place where "Grimm" usually lives. Or, truth to tell, seems very comfortable. We also saw Hank (Russell Hornsby) doing that familiar TV crime show trope, of revisiting an old, unsolved case that haunted him for years and being able to resolve it.
"Grimm" is still a new show, and the makers are finding their tone. How funny should it be? How
