Watch out Facebook! There's a new social media addiction in town, and it's got a good hold on fashion and beauty lovers all over the world. Pinterest is a word that's being thrown around a lot lately. Whether you love fashion, fitness, beauty, food or just plain old funny pictures, this is the place to be. It's drama-free (unlike some other social networking sites) and filled with pictures that can get you thinking about new looks, beauty products and hairstyles. For the most part, the site seems to have a good hold on fashionistas, shoe lovers, fitness fanatics, and beauty addicts in general. Spending hours on the site is way too easy, and getting into the "pinning" mood is something that will just happen once you are there.

It is easy for people who are new to Pinterest to start using the site. Each person that signs up for the site gets what they call "pin boards." You can give each of your pin boards a name to make it easy for your followers to see what they are interested in. Examples of pin boards includes hair styles, party ideas, humor, fashion finds, shoes, fitness, and beauty products. Now on to the pinning fun. When you see a photo you like, you "pin" it to one of your pin boards. People re-pin photos they like to their pin boards, and so it continues. If you post a pair of shoes you fell in love with, it is guaranteed someone else will also fall in love with them and re-pin the photo. This is why this site is a great way to see new trends in fashion, find new ideas for hair styles and even help plan a party or wedding. Pins travel fast on this site, so trying to figure out what the in colors are this upcoming summer season or what nail polish colors are hot right now has never been easier.

Check ebay. Last year, I discovered the joy of bulk lots. As a result, my three nieces got hairbow holders full of bows for their birthdays last year--even the baby, who was a newborn. You can also get a mix of colors for crocheted headbands. I got a lot of 30 for around $15. I did double colors so that I could divide it in two, but....

These are so cute! I came up with an idea not to long ago just to put all the hair accessories on a clip. Then you have the option of either clipping them to a headband or a kufi (not sure if I spelled that right) hat, or just to plain hair, depending on how much hair the baby has. I got 50 of those elastic crochet headbands from eBay in a lot and different colors for around ten dollars. My daughter is 15 mos and still wearing them. Buying in lots is definitely a wiser investment than buying them individually.
