Bridal shop book walks down life's aisle with area woman
RICHFIELD TOWNSHIP, Michigan — As soon as Danielle Wenzel stepped into “The Magic Room” at a mid-Michigan bridal shop and looked at herself in the mirrors surrounded by special lighting, she knew she had picked the right gown for her wedding.
“I tried on 12 to 15 dresses, but I knew the second one I tried on was the one I wanted,” Wenzel said of the fittings at Becker’s Bridal in Fowler.
“As soon as I stepped into it, I can’t describe it, my dress was just glowing,” said Wenzel, now 26, who was seeking the perfect dress for her marriage to Brian Wenzel, now 35, a 10-year Lapeer police officer.
“I just started crying and said, ‘This is the one,’ and I immediately thought of my mom,” said the former Danielle DeVoe.
