Bridal Showcase features more than 40 vendors
Brides and grooms have so many options when planning their wedding. It’s also one of the bigger investments they will make as they start their lives together. According to The Knot, the average cost for a 150-person wedding is about $25,000 and could be higher in urban areas. With so many choices, where should couples start?
An excellent place to begin the planning process is the free Bridal Showcase, being held from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7 at Naper Settlement, 523 S. Webster St. in Naperville. More than 40 vendors will be on hand for one-on-one consultations and couples can see the latest trends in weddings. The highlight of the Showcase is the nondenominational Century Memorial Chapel, the setting for hundreds of weddings. Built in 1864, the historic Chapel features stained glass windows, classic architectural details and seating for 175.
