Little Girls Give Their Locks With Love
Raising selfless, loving children isn't an easy job these days. That's why Jenny Zaretsky of South Amboy has every right to be proud of her daughters.
Charli, 10, and Lexi, 7, both volunteered to have their long tresses cut for a good cause. The Locks of Love organization gathers up the ponytails of children and helps fashion it into human hair wigs for children suffering from illnesses that cause baldness.
"My mom told me about coming here," said Charli, her Goldilocks curls tumbling over the salon chair at Vito Mazza Salon & Spa . "The last time I had my hair cut was two years ago, but it wasn't really short."
Both Charli and Lexi have beautiful, spun gold locks, which Angie, the stylist, divided into small ponytails she gently sheared off. The golden tresses will be sent to Locks of Love to be turned into hairpieces and wigs for children without their own hair
