Mobile teen charged with robbing couple at west Mobile apartment complex
MOBILE, Alabama -- A teenager faces a robbery charge after she and four others followed a couple to their west Mobile residence, Cpl. Christopher Levy said today.
Toni Jabrel Pendleton, 17, is charged with first-degree robbery in an incident that occurred late Thursday night, Levy said.
Police was called about 10:30 p.m. to Country Club Woods Apartments in the 4000 block of Airport Boulevard. The victims had pulled into the parking lot, followed by an assailant police identified as Pendleton. A second car filled with four men -- all armed with guns -- entered behind Pendleton, police said. The men beat up the two victims and took items from them, Levy said.
A resident, who came outside and attempted to stop the robbery, dropped her cell phone which Pendleton picked up, police said.
