Downtown Spot Puts the 'bar' in Barbershop
YORK, Pa. — Perhaps any man would need a beer after a guy named "Smiling John" took a straight razor to his face.

DiDi & Smiling John's Traditional Barber Shop and Salon opened Tuesday at 330 S. George St., with husband and wife team John and Devon Schilling of Mount Wolf working alongside each other in a retro-themed space influenced by her experiences with a rockabilly band.
John Schilling offers gentlemen the traditional hot-lather, straight-razor face shaves and haircuts in styles ranging from the low-fade 1940s pompadour to trendy modern cuts. The experience is capped with a free Pabst Blue Ribbon or National Bohemian beer.
