Mom gets time -- and beauty -- for herself
BETHANY BEACH -- Randi Blades, a 32-year-old mother of two, hardly ever finds time to pamper herself.
Like any mom will tell you, when it comes to buying new clothes or getting a haircut, the kids come first. She usually colors her hair at home, hasn't been to a salon since last year and usually buys a new outfit once a year.
As the laundry supervisor for ResortQuest Delaware, Blades handles the functions of the laundry department, which doesn't have her sitting behind a desk all day.
Her hardworking attitude and love for her daughters is why her boss, Jamie Wells, nominated her for the Beachcomber makeover, made possible this month by All About U Salon and Spa in Millville and Japanesque in Bethany Beach.
"She does a great job working for ResortQuest and it would be good to recognize and reward all her efforts," Wells said. "She doesn't pamper herself much, so this is really (prefect for her)."

Moore is hoping customers will return to the old days of weekly haircuts; he offers a monthly membership that costs less than two services. Employees are trained to give customers advice on haircuts, based on face shapes and other features.
