Spicebomb is the new men’s fragrance by Viktor & Rolf of “Flowerbomb” fame, and make no mistake, this is a MAN’S product. It couldn’t be more so if the shape of the bottle was a giant phallus. In fact, the Flowerbomb and Spicebomb fragrances could be looked upon as the Barbie and Action Man of the fragrance world with their surprisingly basic logic:
Women’s fragrances should smell like flowers and be named as such
Men’s should be woody and spicy, again named as such, and in a rigidly manly bottle. A grenade is the obvious choice.
And from this moment on it’s evident that this new fragrance just tries too hard. Ever since Paco Rabanne came dangerously close to world domination with the “1 Million” fragrance perfumiers have been in a desperate race to surpass that winning spicy, manly yet versatile fragrance.
